Why The PIP Exists
The helping professions do not need less compassion. They need compassion with clarity, challenge, standards, and accountability. The Professional Integrity Project was created to name the patterns that quietly weaken care and to strengthen the judgment, responsibility, and professional courage required to address them.
Our mission
The Professional Integrity Project exists to strengthen professional integrity across the helping professions by promoting clear standards, stronger clinical judgment, accountable supervision, ethical decision-making, and client care that supports both compassion and meaningful growth.
Our vision
A field where professionals are supported without being insulated from accountability; where clients are validated without being kept stuck and where compassion, competence, responsibility, and courage are treated as partners rather than opposites.
What This Looks Like in Practice
Compassion without accountability can become accommodation.
Accountability without compassion can become rigidity.
The Professional Integrity Project exists in the space between those extremes, where care is thoughtful, standards are clear, challenge is appropriate, and growth remains part of the work.
